In 2017, BGP was founded to help educators plan, build, and maintain school gardens. When the pandemic of 2020 hit, we realized the critical importance of people’s access to fresh healthy food AND how gardening can help relieve the stressors that impact mental health.
In 2024, we’ve decided to reorganize to not only be a community service organization but also as a collective of gardening and volunteering enthusiasts. Members will not only be able to sign up to provide garden assistance to others in need but can also participate in Members-Only events (local garden trips, tours, workshops, etc.) and will have access to special features on the website.
We’re so excited to expand the garden love while expanding our ability to help others!
